Undergoing cosmetic surgery is something that takes a long time to reflect and decide on, especially considering the stigma surrounding it. However, times have now changed as more and more celebrities have begun to discuss going under the knife, with some doing it even before their 20s.

There are a bunch of local and international stars who have made the brave decision to openly talk about enhancing their features in their teenage years.

While some of them are proud of their cosmetic journey, others have expressed regret over the decision, sparking helpful discussions on the importance of taking this subject seriously.

Take a look at them below:

Veronica "Kitty" Duterte, the daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte, revealed that she had gotten rhinoplasty, lip fillers, and jawtox, among others to improve her facial features.

"We talked about what I wanted to do with my lips 'cause I really wanted lip fillers. The procedure I got done after that was my nose. I actually got a rhinoplasty," the 19-year-old revealed in a video posted by Baker Medical Aesthetics.

"I’ve been so happy with my nose. I also get weekly procedures like drips, facials, the RF, the jawtox, the new procedures, new technologies, and just about a lot of things," she added.

Kitty further shared her gorgeous self on her Instagram account with the caption, "Here's to aging like fine wine."

Kitty's physical changes have long been a hot topic among social media users online, with many questioning whether she got a nose job because of how different she looked in her recent pictures.

Xyriel Manabat

Like Kitty, Xyriel Manabat also wanted to change up her look with rhinoplasty.

The 19-year-old shared her cosmetic journey through a video on Instagram, detailing that the procedure was done by Faces & Curves under the care of Dr. Jay Recasata.

In the video, Xyriel couldn't contain her excitement as she jokingly said, "Papasok na po tayo patungo sa Narnia!"

Sadly, a few social media users left some rather distasteful comments under her post, accusing the young actress of having lip fillers in addition to rhinoplasty. She quickly clarified that she only had her nose done and that her fuller lips were due to lip liner.

Xyriel further silenced those who were "misinterpreting" her post in an Instagram story, writing, "I'm just letting them know to understand how they could be [misled] by my picture and that I'm here to clear things out and to give more knowledge about my cosmetic surgery journey/result."

Singer and actress Geneva Cruz also underwent a nose enhancement procedure, albeit at a much younger age at only 16 years old.

Geneva discussed her cosmetic journey as she posted a collage of photos on her Instagram account showing her transformation through the years. She shared that when she was younger, she believed that she was beautiful in her own way until she started to make movies.

"I grew up confident in my own skin. I never lacked suitors, so I thought, 'Hey! My nose is pretty wide but it is alright,' until I started making movies and was told that my nose was just too big for the movie screen," Geneva wrote.

"I was only 16 when I was asked to have my nose altered a bit, and I thought something was wrong with me, and I carried that for many years kahit iba na ilong ko. Trolls loved to hurt me because I was timid, they didn’t know how else they could hurt me, so they made my old nose a target," she continued.

The Anak ng Pasig singer has since grown to love her nose that she has had for many years now, and that all the bullying had made her into a stronger person.

She advised her fellow Filipinos who are feeling insecure about their own nose, "Wala kayong kailangang baguhin sa mukha ninyo, dahil maganda na kayo kahit ano pa ang sabihin nila; pero wala ring masama kung may gusto kayong baguhin, basta ito ay talagang kagustuhan ninyo at hindi ng ibang tao."

Kylie Jenner

Socialite and media personality Kylie Jenner has long attracted speculations regarding whether she has had plastic surgery done on her face and figure.

In an episode of her reality television series The Kardashians, Kylie admitted after years of denial that she had breast augmentation surgery at the age of 19 in 2017, the year before she gave birth to her daughter Stormi.

However, she came to regret that decision as she grew older, saying, "I just wish, obviously, I never got them done to begin with. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about it to wait until after children."

Now that she is a mother, Kylie has adopted a more conservative view on getting surgeries at a young age, especially after she noticed that "so many young girls on the internet now fully editing" their images.

"Obviously I have a daughter. I would be heartbroken if she wanted to get her body done at 19. And she's the most beautiful thing ever. I want to be the best mom and best example for her," she said

While the Kylie Cosmetics founder admitted to getting breast augmentation, she previously revealed in another episode of The Kardashians that she never had plastic surgery on her "whole face."

Similar to Kylie, model Bella Hadid also wished that she had never gone under the knife for her nose at the age of 14.

In an interview with Vogue, the model shared that if only she could turn back time, she would not have done the same thing in her teenage years. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors. I think I would have grown into it,” she said.

Bella also took the time to deny rumors that she got lip fillers and an eye lift, as well as having a desire to look like supermodel Carla Bruni. She stressed that while she has no issues with these procedures, they simply aren't for her.

"People think I fully f—ked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy. I’m pretty sure you don’t look the same now as you did at 13, right?" Bella said.

"I’ve had this impostor syndrome where people made me feel like I didn’t deserve any of this. People always have something to say, but what I have to say is, I’ve always been misunderstood in my industry and by the people around me," she continued.
