La Mesa Ecopark is a breath of fresh air in the city, accepts only 100 guests a day

With the strict implementation of quarantine protocols in place, residents of Metro Manila find it difficult to look for a place where they can unwind and do recreational activities. Since malls are enclosed establishments, an open air getaway that is not far from the comfort of one’s homes is much preferred these days.

Good news is, there is a hidden gem inside Quezon City that ticks all the boxes! La Mesa Watershed and Ecopark is a public park that allows its visitors to jog, walk, and meditate surrounded by high trees, fresh air, and relaxing scenery. It is open from 6 a.m. to 12 noon daily.

La Mesa Ecopark accepts only the first 100 walk-in guests.

To limit their guests, La Mesa Ecopark only accepts 100 people inside the park every day. There is no entrance fee, but a minimum donation for maintenance of P40/head is encouraged.

Meanwhile, La Mesa Watershed operates from 6 a.m to 3 p.m. daily, except on Tuesdays. Visitors must book and reserve ahead of time to ensure that only 50 persons will be accommodated per day. Trail run, hiking, and biking are some of the activities that may be enjoyed in this area.

In compliance with COVID-19 protocols, personal protective equipment like facemasks and face shields are required. Only walk-ins aged 18 to 65 are allowed to enter the facilities for safety and security.

Guess it’s time to pack your bags and book a trip without having to worry about fees, flying and securing documents.
