UP Open University opens 25 free online courses from July to December 2026
Want to learn something new or strengthen your knowledge for free?
UP Open University has released its Massive Open Online Courses for the second half of 2026, offering 25 courses free of charge. They can be completed at your own pace, making it perfect for students, professionals, educators, and anyone looking to upskill while balancing other commitments.
In its July to December 2026 course lineup are new and returning courses covering a wide range of topics—from child development to business accounting, Filipino language, and research ethics. These include Internalizing Behaviors among Children and Practical Home Support; Understanding the Language of Business: Accounting Overview & Basic Financial Statements; Batayang Kasanayan sa Akademikong Pagsulat sa Filipino; Panimulang Kasanayan sa Gramatikang Filipino; and Research Ethics: Fundamental Concepts and Review Process.

Interested? Below is UPOU's step-by-step guide on how to enroll:
- Go to http://model.upou.edu.ph/.
- Click “LOG IN” to create a new account.
- Fill out the form with your details. (Please make sure that your indicated email has enough storage to receive messages.)
- Check your email account to see your confirmation link. (Due to the volume of users, expect some delays of up to three business days.)
- Confirm and log in.
- Browse through its website homepage, and select the course you want to enroll in.
The UPOU noted that enrollment is open two weeks ahead of the start of the course and remains available while it's ongoing.
Upon completion of each course, you can get a 16-hour electronic certificate that you can include in your resume or professional portfolio.
