Why Kylie Padilla thinks breastfeeding is one of her favorite parts of motherhood

For Kylie Padilla, breastfeeding is one of her favorite stages of being a mother as it has gifted her with “the closest physical feeling of love” that she’s ever experienced.

In her recent Instagram post, the actress opened up about this part of her motherhood journey to mark World Breastfeeding Month. “I remember part of why I delayed going back to work right away is because I wanted to breastfeed my kids directly. Personally I hated pumping,” she began. 

Kylie thinks nothing compared to the “intimacy and connection” she was able to forge with her children through breastfeeding, which made it difficult to let go of no matter the demands and challenges it came with. “I had no control over my body but the eye contact, the skin to skin and the slowly watching my kids fall asleep and feeling their heartbeat slow is the closest physical feeling of love I’ve ever experienced.” 

“Now when I look back on it, I’m happy I did it. Both boys I was able to breastfeed for over a year. It’s still one of my favorite parts of motherhood,” she continued. 

Kylie welcomed her first child Alas in 2017 and her second Axl in 2020 with her ex Aljur Abrenica. They are now following a co-parenting setup.
