Tanzania's Jihan Dimack is Miss Grand International 2026
A new reign has officially begun!
Jihan Dimack of Tanzania was crowned Miss Grand International, taking the torch and following in the footsteps of the Philippines’ Emma Tiglao. She now steps into a year leading the pageant’s peace and humanitarian campaigns across the globe.
Outshining 79 other candidates, Dimack commanded the stage during the coronation night on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the MGI Hall at Bravo BKK in Bangkok.
The main event was hosted by Thai-Australian star Matthew Deane, who shared the stage with a star-studded co-hosting lineup including MGI queens Isabella Menin (2022), Luciana Fuster (2023), and CJ Opiaza (2024), alongside MGI All-Stars 2026 winner Vanessa Pulgarin and 2nd Runner-up Nguen HongGiang.
When asked, "How would you address inequality in society" during the first question and answer portion, the 30-year-old contestant responded with: "I would address inequality by showcasing and spreading love. I believe love is the strongest weapon that we have, and if we're able to show love and spread love. We're able to have a better society and equality in the world that we live in today. Regardless of what religion you come from, regardless where you come from, we all have equal rights, and we all can do it if we have love in our hearts. Thank you."
Dimack, and the rest of the Top 5 candidates, was also asked during the final Q&A portion what qualities should an empowered woman possess.
She answered, "I believe the quality she possesses is a kind heart, and to me, the perfect example is my mother. She's a woman that is kind to others. She's a woman that places others before herself. She's a woman that is always ready to serve. To me, I believe that is a quality that allows you to lead with kindness. That is a quality that allows you to change the world, and that is a quality that allows you to reach to a person far beyond the physical, and that is to the heart. And I just want to say tonight, thank you, mom, for inspiring me to be that woman. Thank you."
Completing the royal court alongside the new queen are first runner-up Shyare Ansrade of Ecuador, Beau Megan Goos of the Netherlands, Ximena Carrillo of Guatemala, and Emoura Phạm of Vietnam.
Before the final moment, the night celebrated showstopping beauty and culture. The coveted Best National Costume title was awarded to Miss Grand Pakistan, Miss Grand Thailand, Miss Grand Philippines, and Miss Grand Hong Kong, while Miss Côte d'Ivoire captivated the judges to win Best in Swimsuit.
The coronation night took place on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Bangkok, Thailand. Philippines' Angelica Lopez finished in the Top 25 of the competition.
