Gird your loins! The sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is set for a May 2026 release.

Disney revealed that the sequel to the cult-favorite film is coming to theaters on May 1, 2026, per a report by Variety.

The sequel is said to center on "devil" Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep) as she continues in her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She will face off against Emily Blunt's character, who is now a "high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs."

Streep and Blunt will reportedly reprise their roles, but more details about the cast members and whether Anne Hathaway will reprise her role have yet to be unveiled.

Released in 2006, The Devil Wears Prada is based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. It was rumored to be inspired by her time working at fashion magazine Vogue and its editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.

The film follows a recent college journalism graduate Andy, who was hired as an assistant to Miranda, a job that "a million girls would kill for." While she initially struggles with her boss's impossible demands, she soon finds herself sucked into the world of high fashion and the "Runway" philosophy.

Streep, Blunt, and Hathaway recently had a mini-reunion at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2024, where they referenced some memorable lines from the film as they presented the nominees.
