Heads up, commuters: You can enjoy free LRT-2 rides on Dec. 10
Catch yourself a free ride, commuters!
The Light Rail Transit Authority is offering Libreng Sakay for all passengers of LRT-2 on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
As posted on their social media pages, this is LRTA's way of supporting the Commission on Human Rights in safeguarding human rights on International Human Rights Day.
The first batch of free rides was offered from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
The next round of free rides is available from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Human Rights Day is observed around the world every Dec. 10. According to the United Nations, it "commemorates the anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," which "enshrines the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being—regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status."
