Rider shares how formerly missing bride-to-be asked him for help while lost in Pangasinan

A motorcycle rider in Sison, Pangasinan detailed how formerly missing bride-to-be Sherra de Juan approached him to ask for help.

De Juan's story has gripped the nation since she disappeared on Dec. 10 after leaving home to shop for wedding shoes. She and her fiancé Mark Arjay Reyes were scheduled to be married four days later. The bride didn't make it home that day, however, only to resurface on Dec. 29 in Sison, Pangasinan.

In a recent episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, rider Rodel Dela Rosa revealed how he did not notice de Juan at first.

Talagang maaawa ka sa mukha niya, talagang tuliro, umiiyak na alam n'yo parang bata," added dela Rosa, imitating de Juan's clasped hands, as if praying for help.

"Gusto na niyang makauwi sa kanila," he said.

Dela Rosa only got a clue who de Juan was when she told him she was just supposed to be buying her wedding shoes and shared her fiancé's name. He searched online and told her her story had gone viral.

He then asked her if she wanted to go to the police station for help or to his mother-in-law's home so she could take a bath and eat. She chose to clean up at the house first. While there, dela Rosa lent de Juan his phone so she could call home.

"'Yun, umiyak na siya. Nag-iyakan sila," the rider said.

In the same episode, de Juan's fiancé shared how his bride tried to get home by herself.

The Quezon City Police District has closed de Juan's case for now, but is ready to reopen it if new details emerge describing circumstances that would constitute a crime.
