Prince Harry's 'His Royal Highness' title removed from Royal Family website
Prince Harry is no longer addressed as "His Royal Highness" on the royal family's website.
PEOPLE, citing London outlet Daily Express, reported that Harry's page has been updated on Aug. 8 even though he was still called "His Royal Highness" the previous week.
The royal family's website has not been completely updated following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, PEOPLE noted.
Queen Elizabeth was still referred to as the current monarch, King Charles still "the Prince of Wales," and Queen Camilla as "the Duchess of Cornwall," Daily Express noted.
In a statement, the Buckingham Palace said the website contains over 5,000 pages of information about the life and work of the Royal Family.
"Following the death of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, content has been revisited and updated periodically," it said, as cited by Daily Express. "Some content may be out of date until this process is complete.”
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped out of their royal family duties in 2020.
Following that year's Sandringham Summit, the Buckingham Palace announced that Harry and Meghan, the Sussexes, will not use their HRH titles "as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."
They're still formally referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and are called Harry the Duke of Sussex and Meghan the Duchess of Sussex.
The couple, however, simply introduce themselves as Harry and Meghan moving forward. They've relocated to Meghan's hometown California.
