DOJ to investigate provocative dance number at NBI event

The Department of Justice will look into the sexy dance performance held at a recently concluded NBI conference.

DOJ Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla announced the news in a July 7 press briefing. "Definitely, we do not like this to happen," he said. "We'll investigate it also."

Remulla then called it a form of misbehavior "that we do not need in the country."

This comes days after columnist Ramon Tulfo uploaded a video from the event on July 4, where a woman can be seen entertaining the audience with provocative dance moves at a hotel in Manila.

NBI director Medardo de Lemos has apologized to the public and said it wasn't their intention to offend anyone with the provocative number.

Kung naging offensive man ang pagsasayaw na ito humihingi po kami ng paumanhin," he said in a press conference on July 7.

NBI vowed to investigate and impose appropriate penalties on the ones who gave the viral performance a green light.

"We'd like to stress we'll never tolerate indecency in the agency," de Lemos said.
