In reference to her iconic drag performance, we can say Marina Summers is "mothering" as she is about to wave the Pinoy flag on the international stage.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, RuPaul's Drag Race UK revealed that the Drag Race Philippines Season 1 First runner-up will compete in the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World.

Wearing a royal blue mermaid gown styled by Paul Sese, which is said to be an ode to the iconic Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach's gown made by Albert Andrada, the 27-year-old drag queen will be joined by other drag superstars across the world, including UK favorites Choriza May, Gothy Kendoll, Jonbers Blonde, and Tia Kofi.

Other queens competing also include US queens Scarlet Envy and Mayhem Miller, Arantxa Castilla La Mancha from the first season of España, Hannah Conda of "Down Under" season 2, Keta Minaj of the Holland edition, La Grande Dame from the first season of France.

With this feat, Marina also makes history as the first drag queen to represent the Philippines in an international All Stars edition of RuPaul's Drag Race.

An impressive resume

More than that, the Pinay queen has represented the country and Southeast Asia in Spotify's Glow campaign by landing a  digital billboard in Times Square in New York City as part of 2023's Pride Month.

The Tarsier Records artist was also featured on the cover of Spotify's Pride Bahaghari playlist with her single, ride 4 me. She also dominated last year's RuPaul's DragCon in Los Angeles, California, after being named the "Wowlebrity on the Rise" at the 2023 Wowie Awards.

'Our Filipina Winner'

Alongside the announcement, various big names from the entertainment industry immediately expressed their excitement towards Marina's milestone in the drag industry.

"SHOW THE WORLD, THE UNIVERSE RATHER," Creative Director and fashion stylist Eldzs Mejia chided.

"WORLD DOMINATION OF THE ASIAN SENSATION," said celebrity stylist Paul Sese, who also styled Marina for her promo look.
