Eva Le Queen, Marina Summers react to Tessa Prieto's 'trash' comment on 'Drag Race Philippines S2'

Socialite Tessa Prieto-Valdez is in hot water after she made disparaging comments to one of the drag queens on Drag Race Philippines Season 2. She called one of the drag queens "trash," which disappointed season 1 contestants Eva Le Queen and Marina Summers.

In episode 3 of the show, the queens were asked to go on a design battle with a partner. ØV CÜNT and Matilduh battled it off with their best Halloween costumes. When ØV CÜNT was up for critique, Tessa said the dreaded word.

"Can I say it? This is trash!" Tessa said while pointing to ØV CÜNT. "Parang kulang ng spooky."

During Untucked, ØV CÜNT said that she was very embarrassed at that time despite facing the challenge with braveness.

"Super hiyang hiya ako nung moment na yun. I turned this competition, especially this challenge, with so much braveness. Kung baga kumpyansa sa sarili ko na kayang-kaya ko ito," she said.

On X, formerly Twitter, Eva wrote on Aug. 16: "That TRASH moment was uncalled for. When will this verbal assault or reducing artists to such a word f--king stop. Disgusting."

She added: "Coming home from the club and I'm still not okay with what happened at Untucked. That was unsettling and dramatic in the most uncomfortable way. 2 of my family hitting their lows. And some blonde bitch at Nectar had the gall to ask sa mic, ‘naenjoy niyo ba yung untucked?’ Ta---a?"

In a succeeding tweet, Eva explained why she is affected. She said that Rajo Laurel invited her and the other Season 1 queens to a "Reconciliation Dinner" to put the trash issue behind them.

To recall, Rajo served as one of the judges in Season 1 and called Eva's outfit "trash" during one of the episodes.

"Guess who else was a ‘guest’ in that dinner? TESSA PRIETO," Eva added.

Marina, for her part, said Tessa "has no business saying the word 'trash'" while dressing a certain way on the panel.

"What irks me more is the fact that she was with us in a dinner with Eva last year to talk about how that same word affected my sister and her feelings AND not to mention she’s close friends with Sir Rajo -who we know had immense backlash last year for using this word too," she said.

"And for you to say that [loosely] is so inconsiderate and QUESTIONABLE - both to the QUEENS and HER FRIEND," Marina added.

Eva and Rajo have since reconciled. Rajo on social media explained that he said it out of love.

"It’s all because of LOVE! Not Meant to be mean but only to be  Meaningful. Remember that…" the designer explained. "I only want the BEST from our queens the best from the Philippines!"
