A baby in Malaysia died after being accidentally pinned under his father's arm, who died from a heart attack.

Local outlet Bernama reported that a three-month-old boy and his father were found dead by the baby's mother, Azura Abdul Malik, 40, at their Malacca City home around 9:30 a.m. on June 19.

Malik immediately sought help from her sister-in-law, whose house was next to theirs.

“She said the baby was unconscious and had turned blue after being pinned under my brother’s arm,” the sister-in-law, Masturadiana, was quoted. She immediately advised Malik to rush the baby to the hospital, who reportedly died while receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old father, Nuruleffendy Ibrahim, was believed to have died two to three hours before he was found by his wife.

“(My brother’s death) came as a shock since he had no known illnesses, just some leg pain and gout,” the sister-in-law told the outlet. She added that Ibrahim complained of chest pain the day before the incident, but refused to see a doctor.

The incident happened on Malik's first day at work after her maternity leave.

Meanwhile, the authorities initially inspected the house to determine the cause of death, but a follow-up investigation concluded that Ibrahim had possibly died of a heart attack.

“The hospital had requested a team to inspect the house for possible gas leaks, but following further investigation, it was determined that the man had likely died of a heart attack," said Mohd Supian Md Dali, Bukit Katil Fire and Rescue Station operations commander.
