What can fully vaccinated individuals do in areas under Alert Level 3?
Metro Manila will be under Alert Level 3 until Oct. 31 as recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases. For those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, what does this mean?
Under Alert Level 3, various establishments have been allowed to operate at limited capacities after more than a year. While everyone (including the unvaccinated) can go to outdoor venues within the 50% capacity limit, only fully vaccinated individuals can take part in indoor leisure activities at a 30% capacity.
If you have completed your vaccine doses, you can go to indoor spaces for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions as well as social events. You can also enjoy certain leisure activities for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic started like visits to libraries, archives, museums, and galleries. The National Museum of the Philippines, for one, has reopened its doors to the public, requiring pre-registration and proof of vaccination to its visitors. Pinto Art Museum, Art in Island, Manila Ocean Park, and The Dessert Museum have also announced that they have reopened.
Games at bowling alleys, billiard rooms, skating rinks, archery halls, internet cafes, and amusement arcades are now allowed for the fully vaxxed. Yes, you read that right—TimeZone and Tom’s World have started welcoming gaming enthusiasts in different branches.
Missed going to movie houses? You can do that again at 30% capacity, on top of the privilege to dine at your favorite restaurant, have a hair cut at your go-to hair salon, get your nails done after a tiring work week, and even squeeze in a workout at the gym.
“Kasama rin po sa pu-pwede na at 30% indoor venue para sa mga fully vaccinated at 50% para sa outdoor ay ang in-person religious gatherings, kasama na po dyan yung para sa mga necrological service, wakes, inurnment, funerals para po doon sa mga namatay other than COVID-19 at saka yung cremains of COVID-19 deceased,” added Roque.
Take note that having face-to-face classes for basic education, engaging in contact sports (except for those that follow a bubble-type set-up), going to venues with performers using live voice and wind instruments, and kid amusement industries are still prohibited under Alert Level 3.
