Veteran actress Flora Gasser passes away at 89
Veteran actress Flora Gasser passed away on Nov. 19 at the age of 89, her family confirmed on Facebook.
Gasser's granddaughter Valerie Ocampo shared the news of her death on Nov. 20, writing, "Our lola, Flora Gasser, passed away yesterday and is now with the Lord and our Lolo Harry."
Ocampo added that the actress' wake will be held at St. Peter's Chapel Commonwealth in Quezon City. "Viewing will start [Nov. 20] at 3 p.m. onwards until Nov. 22."
"Thank you for your condolences," the granddaughter said.
A veteran star of the screen, Gasser worked in various movies and TV shows since 1970s, including Annie Batungbakal, Bagets, Batang Z, Praybeyt Benjamin, Joey Boy Munti: 15 anyos ka sa Muntinglupa, Kumander Bawang, and several episodes of the recently concluded Maalaala Mo Kaya. Her last project was a short film titled Nene in 2020.
Gasser was married to news presenter Harry Gasser.
