Time to indulge: Tagaytay to hold Food and Wine Festival 2024 this July

When it comes to satisfying your tummies with delicious food while enjoying some scenic views, Tagaytay is one of first places that come to mind. If you're craving a little food adventure, you're in luck as the city is set to hold a Food and Wine Festival this July.

The festival will gather Tagaytay's famous chefs and restaurants to spotlight the finest aspects of the city's food offerings and allow guests to delve deeper into its dining culture.

The event will be held for two weekends on July 12, 13, 20, and 21 and will kickstart with a Grand Tasting at 6 p.m. at Anya Resort.

Guests will be able to delight in the creations of Anya Resort's Chris Leaning, Taal Vista's Jayme Natividad, and View Park Hotel’s Siglo Restaurant.

Celebrated chefs such as Rhea SyCip of Flour Pot Bistro & Bakery, Robby Goco of Elaia by Cyma, and Happy Ongpauco of Pamana and Tsokolateria will also be there to offer their signature dishes.

You can also have the chance to try out food from Tristan Bayani's Ribchon, Dan Puga's Lula Cafe, Kalel Chan's Farmers Table, Binggoy Remedios' Asador by Dos Mestizos, and Reynaldo’s Smokehouse. Of course, no festival is complete without alcoholic drink, and Papa Bolo Microbrewery will be there to offer their unique brews to cap off the night.

Afterwards, the Harvest Dinner will take place at 6 p.m. on July 13 at the Fatted Calf. Here, you can witness chefs Jayjay SyCip, Rhea SyCip, and Pilgrim Davao’s Jeramie Go collaborate on a menu featuring the best ingredients that are expertly prepared. 

For those of you who want to elevate your dining experience with some gorgeous views of the sunset, save the date on July 20 for the sunset session at 4 p.m.

Held at Luxe at 180 by Chef Sau del Rosario, you can delight your taste buds with a Truffle and Caviar dinner by world-class chefs, Australia’s Oliver Buenviaje, Emirate’s John Buenaventura, and French-trained chef, Sau del Rosario all while drinking in Tagaytay’s lush landscapes under the sunset.

The Food and Wine Festival will end with the Heritage Buffet on July 21, at 11:30 am at Taal Vista Hotel's Veranda Restaurant. The lunch buffet will be led by chef Natividad and chefs Jayjay and Rhea SyCip of The Fatted Calf. The food items will be comprised of heritage dishes that showcase the best of Filipino cuisine.

Don't miss the finale of the Food and Wine Festival. Chef Natividad teams up with The Fatted Calf's chefs Jayjay and Rhea SyCip for a Heritage Buffet on July 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Taal Vista Hotel. The food items will feature heritage dishes that showcase the best of Filipino cuisine.

But that's not all, this September, another exciting event is coming. Restaurants from Tagaytay will present their most innovative interpretation of the city’s beloved bulalo during the Creative Bulalo Challenge to be held at the Tagaytay Picnic Grove.

If you're keen on starting your culinary adventure at the festival, the Grand Tasting is priced at P3,950 per person, the Harvest Dinner at P4,500, the sunset session at P4,500, and the Heritage Buffet at P1,995.
