Bike-friendly McDo stores to visit on your next ride
Nothing beats the feeling of biking your way through scenic routes on a peaceful morning. Offering exercise and relaxation at the same time, biking has grown to be one of the most popular weekend activities, and McDonald’s encourages you to try it, too!
To help you plan your next—or even your first—bike ride, McDonald’s rounded up the three best routes to follow with your friends and family. McDonald’s stores found on each route are also equipped with bike-friendly features like bike and dine as well as bike repair stations for basic repairs.
For a casual city ride, try the Manila-Intramuros route
Perfect for beginners or those looking for a quick sweat sesh, the Manila-Intramuros route provides the best itinerary for a city ride. This route spans a total of 20 kilometers, which starts and ends at McDonald’s Quirino Mabini. During the loop, bikers will pass through the iconic Binondo bridge and the historical walled city of Intramuros.
This route is also suitable for friends looking for a quick bonding experience, which can be made more memorable by resting at the Bike and Dine area of McDonald’s Quirino Mabini.

For a fresh countryside ride, go for the Clark route
If you are looking for a breath of fresh air, the Clark route is perfect for you. Situated in the heart of Pampanga, the 34-kilometer route starts at McDonald’s Clark and ends at McDonald’s Porac. The grassland scenery is the best place for a weekend ride, away from the hectic urban scene.
Since it is best for intermediate-level bikers, one can munch on a quick snack at McDonald’s Clark or refuel themselves with a refreshment at McDonald’s Porac.

For a chilly adventure ride, try the Tagaytay route
Up for an adventure? Power your way through the inclined roads of the 48-kilometer Tagaytay Route starting at McDonald’s Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. What makes this store more memorable is the fact that it is also the venue of the very first Tour de McDo last Feb. 12, which successfully concluded with around 100 participants.
Despite its difficulty level suitable for advanced riders, cyclists will be embraced by Tagaytay’s comforting cool wind on this route and the breathtaking views along the way will surely make the ride worthwhile. Due to its proximity to Metro Manila, this route is perfect for those looking for a weekend adventure to try with friends. Make sure to reward yourselves with a delicious treat by the end of the ride at McDonald’s Delos Reyes, Tagaytay.

En route to sustainable mobility
Last June 4, World Bicycle Day, different cycling advocates and biking communities came together for the 2nd Tour de McDo which was held in the three routes mentioned above: Intramuros, Clark, and Tagaytay. This multiple-stage bike challenge, along with the Bike and Dine areas of McDo stores, are part of McDonald’s Green & Good campaign to create more sustainable solutions for its restaurants and operations.
Kenneth S. Yang, McDonald’s Philippines CEO and president, shared the reason behind these routes: “More than catering to different levels of cycling, the three routes of the latest Tour de McDo aim to show important places in the country in terms of history and natural heritage accessible by sustainable modes of transport such as bikes. The presence of McDonald’s in these routes makes your journey more comfortable and enjoyable with the stores’ bike-friendly features that support the aim of a better, healthier community.”
Gear up for your next bike ride and pedal your way through a sustainable future. Do not forget to visit McDo’s bike-friendly stores with your friends and family.
