How to watch the Asian Games 2026 in the Philippines
The 20th Asian Games, also known as Aichi-Nagoya 2026, is set, bringing together over 15,000 athletes from 45 countries and territories across Asia.
Team Philippines is gearing up to compete against the best on the continent, sending a delegation of 447 Filipino athletes across 34 sports to fight for podium finishes and national pride.
It will run from Sept. 19 to Oct. 4 in Aichi Prefecture and its capital city Nagoya, which is the third Japanese city to host the Asian Games.
Returning to its traditional four-year cycle after the 2022 edition was postponed to 2023, this year's Games also mark the 75th anniversary of the inaugural 1951 Asian Games held in New Delhi, India.
Here's what you need to know about the Games.
Filipino delegates
Track and field star EJ Obiena, the reigning Asian Games pole vault champion, leads the charge alongside double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and his younger brother, Eldrew, in gymnastics.
The combat sports group features Olympic boxing medalists Nesthy Petecio, Eumir Marcial, and Carlo Paalam, while Asian champion Vanessa Sarno and delegation flagbearer Albert Ian delos Santos headline the weightlifting roster.
Tennis sensation Alex Eala aims for top honors in women's singles and mixed doubles, joining other individual contenders including street skateboarder Margielyn Didal, Olympic relay swimmer Kayla Sanchez, and wushu champion Agatha Wong.
Rounding out the contingent are key team events, starring defending champions Gilas Pilipinas in 5x5 men's basketball alongside major national pushes from Alas Pilipinas in volleyball, the Filipinas in football, and esports powerhouse Sibol.
Team Philippines athletes will be joining the opening ceremonies and parade on Saturday, Sept. 19, wearing their Malaya attire by fashion designer Francis Libiran.

Fans in the Philippines can watch the games live via Cignal TV, the official broadcaster in the country, as well as on One Sports (Free TV and Cable) and One Sports+.
For those who do not have access to the abovementioned or prefer watching on their gadgets may do so as live streams are available through digital platforms like the Pilipinas Live app and the Cignal Play app.
Additionally, selected preliminary matches, event replays, and quick highlight reels can often be accessed on One Sports YouTube channel and the Olympic Council of Asia's digital platforms.
