Instagram now allows you to reorder your grid
The wait is over, IG users! You can finally reorder photos on your grid!
Instagram announced the feature in a post on June 9 on its Creators account.
"With this week’s latest update, you now have more control over how your content is displayed," the social media platform said. "With the new 'Reorder your grid' feature, you can now rearrange content on your main profile grid, which is perfect for highlighting your best work or making your profile feel more like you."
Users have been clamoring for the feature to maintain their aesthetic Instagram feeds without deleting and reposting content.
On June 12, 2025, Instagram head Adam Mosseri said that grid editing is one of the new features that will be launched on the app.
"We know creative expression can feel intimidating, especially when posting something to feed," he said. "We hope this added flexibility over how and where your content shows up helps you create and share without added pressure."
The feature was first announced in January, with Mosseri saying it was to increase creator control on the social media platform.
How to reorder content on your IG grid
As per Instagram's instructions, simply go to your profile and tap and hold any post on your grid that you want to move. A pop-up menu will appear where you can select the “reorder grid” option.
From there, you can log press and drag the content to your desired position. Changes are saved immediately and are visible to all of your profile visitors.
Earlier in April, Instagram Plus was rolled out to some users in the Philippines. The subscription service allowed users to create multiple story audiences, preview Stories anonymously, and extend a Story's expiration.
