View Stories anonymously, give 'Superlikes,' and more: What you need to know about Instagram Plus
Ever wanted to view an Instagram Story anonymously? Or maybe you want your Story to last over 24 hours because your crush hasn't viewed it yet?
You can do all these and more with Instagram Plus, a subscription service for the social media app currently being tested by Meta.
While there's no news yet about when the plan will roll out, some users in the Philippines have reported getting prompts about a free trial. Tech website TechCrunch previously said that the subscription tier is being tested here, in Japan, and Mexico.
According to screenshots shared by testers online, Instagram Plus costs P65 a month and includes exclusive features to help you control your Instagram Stories.
Instagram Plus perks
With the subscription, users will be able to create multiple story audiences in addition to Close Friends. You can group followers into different lists and share Stories based on that. For instance, you can share photos from your outing with just your friends or clips of your pets with only your family members.
Other exclusive features include searching your Story viewer list, extending your Story's expiration for an extra 24 hours, previewing Stories anonymously, and getting insights like how many people have rewatched your Story.
Subscribers can also give other users a "Superlike" on their Stories and increase their Story's visibility by spotlighting it.
Do note that this subscription plan is still in its testing stages and is being rolled out to select users.
Instagram recently released features like reordering photos and videos in a carousel after posting. Here's a deep dive into some of the latest updates.
