Move over, Barbie—it's time for Bob the Builder to make his Hollywood debut!

The unforgettable cartoon construction worker is the latest icon that Mattel Films has set its eyes on for their next project. According to Variety, the animated feature film will be produced by none other than singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. It will feature the voice of Anthony Ramos, who is best known for his role on In the Heights.

The film's logline details that the premise will center on Bob as he travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job and "takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build. Bob’s journey will celebrate the vibrant and colorful textures of the Caribbean Latin nations and their people."

While the film has yet to find a director, the screenplay will be written by Felipe Vargas.

"Pairing Anthony and Felipe’s genius vision for the story will capture this beloved character in a manner that audiences who grew up with Bob will recognize, and all-new audiences will enjoy," said Mattel Films president Robbie Brenner.

Ramos meanwhile described the upcoming movie as having an "important message" rooted from his own life.

"For years, Bob the Builder’s characters have inspired young people around the world. A movie about friends working together, a celebration of a beautiful home they share, and how love can help to conquer any obstacle in your way. Can we fix it? Yes, we can!" he said.

Apart from Bob the Builder, Mattel Films also have other projects based on a recognizable figure, including a live-action Barney movie with Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya, a live-action Hot Wheels movie, a film about the Magic 8 ball toy as well as American Girl, Uno, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, and Thomas the Tank Engine.

These offerings come after the successful run of Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie, which grossed $1.4 billion globally and starred Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
