The three-part documentary series DEPP V HEARD, based on the court case that enthralled audiences around the world in 2022, will premiere on Netflix in August.

The series explores the courtroom drama involving actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, providing insight into the fallout and the choice to stream the trial live for the general public.

In the show, viewers are taken back to the weird events that occurred during the couple's troubled relationship. The second and third episodes explore the influence of online media coverage and social media's response to the verdict, with a particular focus on the ramifications of broadcasting the trial to the entire world.

It's currently unknown how much content will be utilized in the documentary, whether it will feature film from the actual trial or reenactments of the events detailed in the case.

Renowned documentary producer Emma Cooper has been named the film's director and executive producer. She was behind hit documentaries The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes and The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

DEPP V HEARD is scheduled for release on August 16.
