This is not a drill! Local retailers of PlayStation 5 will accept pre-orders of Sony's next-gen console tomorrow!

In separate announcements on Facebook on Thursday, DataBlitz, GameXtreme, GameOne PH and i.TECH - Philippines said that pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and its digital counterpart will be accepted on Friday, January 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:05 p.m.

Just like the last time, local retailers have set a five-minute window for customers to pre-order a PlayStation 5 due to "extremely limited" stocks. They also noted that pre-orders of the next-gen console will be on a first-come, first-served basis, adding that each customer will only be allowed one pre-order slot.

"The preorder offer is open only to all who  previously signed up to our PlayStation 5 newsletter but were not able to secure a slot from the initial pre-order offer and to those who will still sign up before 5:00 p.m. today (21 Jan.).  We will send out an email tonight or tomorrow morning which will include a unique link where customers may go to in order to preorder. Please note that link will only work by 2:00 p.m. tomorrow," DataBlitz said.

"Same time, we would like to inform everyone ahead of time that it is highly likely that many would not be able again to successfully get a pre-order slot for the PlayStation 5 console because stocks are still EXTREMELY LIMITED for the 2nd wave offering; hence, we would be conducting our preorder offer strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to one (1) pre-order slot per customer," it added.

Local retailers have reiterated that stocks of PlayStation 5 are limited and that full payment is required to secure their pre-order slot. PlayStation 5 has a price tag of P27,990 while the digital edition retails for P23,990.
