'Spy x Family Code: White' to arrive in PH theaters this March
Heads up, Pinoy Spy x Family fans! The Forgers are leaping out of the small screen and into Philippine cinemas for a new dangerous and wacky mission this March.
Encore Films Philippines recently announced that the hit anime's first movie spin-off, Spy x Family Code: White, is finally hitting local theaters on March 13.
Directed by Takashi Katahiri, the film features a story by Ichiro Okouchi which is unique to the original manga written by Tatsuya Endo. Spy x Family Code: White will continue the story of Loid, Yor, and Anya as they live double lives as a spy, assassin, and telepath.
The film sees Loid at risk of being booted out of Operation Stix. He then takes their family to their first winter trip to buy ingredients for a cooking competition which will reclaim their family's worth if Anya wins it.
In true Spy x Family fashion, the Forgers' vacation comes with a mission that Loid must accomplish. He is tasked to retrieve a microfilm that will prevent a global war, but Anya soon gets herself mixed up in the complex situation. This then prompts the trio to work together to save each other and more so, the entire world.
Spy x Family Code: White was first announced at the Jump Festa 2023 last December 2022 along with the hit anime series' second season. The film became a box office hit in Japan, holding the number-one spot for four straight weeks and earning over $37 million.
Meanwhile, Spy x Family Season 2 is titled Operation Strix and is centered on the Forger family’s vacation on a luxury cruise ship. Aboard the ship, Yor is also on a secret mission to protect a noble family from assassins. It is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 7 on Netflix.
