'Spy x Family' video game trailer shows how you can play as the adorable Anya
If there's anything more adorable than Anya from the Spy x Family animated series, that would be getting to play as her charming and perky little self in a new video game that takes off from the globally popular franchise.
In case you didn't know, publisher Bandai Namco and game developer Groove Box Japan are launching Spy x Family's video game spin-off, SPYxANYA: Operation Memories, worldwide next year.
The game's first Japanese trailer was released by Bandai Namco on Oct. 7 and will show you a glimpse of the gameplay focusing on Anya's daily life and her mission to create a photo diary for school.
To accomplish that, you'll be stepping into Anya's shoes to play 15 mini-games where you'll get to create memorable moments with her foster parents, Lord and Yor Forger, in parks, beaches, aquariums, and museums.
Along the way, you'll get to unlock costumes and other items that you can use to dress up each member of the Forger family and sweeten up their bonding experience.
SPYxANYA: Operation Memories will feature scenes from the Spy x Family series which tells the story of Lord as he takes an undercover mission that entails him to get married to Yor and adopt Anya, with the three of them secretly having their own special abilities.
The game is set to drop in Japan on Dec. 21 on Nintendo Switch. This will be followed by its global release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in 2024.
