Crunchyroll has confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will officially return this December.

According to the streaming platform, the anime series' latest season, which will feature the beloved manga's Entertainment District Arc, will premiere on Dec. 5, 2021.

But before fans see Tanjiro and the rest of the gang head into the Yoshiwara Entertainment District for the anime series' second season, Crunchyroll also announced that Demon Slayer's Mugen Train feature film will be adapted into a 7-episode series next month.

The upcoming miniseries, which will premiere on Oct. 10, will connect the anime series' Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc with the Entertainment District Arc and will include "70 new scenes, new music tracks, new open and ending animation, episode previews and new theme songs."

The first episode of the show's second season will be one hour long and will introduce a new major villain that Tanjiro and his friends have to face. Additionally, one of the episodes of the upcoming miniseries will also feature a "never-before-seen" footage of Kyojuro Rengoku taking on a new mission on the way to the Mugen Train.

Meanwhile, LiSA, who performed the original Demon Slayer theme song, will return to sing the theme songs for the series with the opening theme “Akeboshi” and ending theme “Shirogane.” Aimer, on the other hand, will sing the theme songs for the first episode titled “Zankyosanka” and “Asa ga kuru."

Aside from the series, a new video game featuring the series' beloved characters will be released next month. The upcoming fighting game, titled Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, will feature a total of 18 characters and will come out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Southeast Asia on Oct. 14, 2021.

Based on the best-selling manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, the anime series, which first premiered in 2019, follows the story of Tanjiro and his journey to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, who turned into a demon following their family’s brutal murder.
