Sana ol? Couple at Eraserheads concert get engaged during 'With a Smile'
Eraserheads' Ang Huling El Bimbo concert was already special for most concert-goers, but one fan took it up a notch by proposing to his girlfriend as the band played With A Smile.
Several hours into the show at the SMDC Festival Concert Grounds, Mark Villena knelt down on one knee before his girlfriend of five years Marimar Mari Ocaya to pop the big question. She was singing along with other fans the sweet love song.
"Nung una, akala ko nang-gu-good time lang siya kasi pagtingin ko nakaluhod na siya," Ocaya told ABS-CBN News.
She then said yes without hesitation, which the VIP section cheered for. "Hindi naman ako nagdadalawang isip na sagutin kasi alam ko siya na talaga yung the one," she said.
Villena also told the outlet that he had been planning to propose by the end of 2022. "Ito na 'yung perfect timing na nakita ko. This year, bago matapos ang taon."
The four-piece band performed their greatest hits during the Dec. 22 concert, including Ligaya, With a Smile, Alapaap, and Ang Huling El Bimbo.
