Star Cinema on Friday gave a sneak peek of the upcoming film by Petersen Vargas, which shows Kathryn's character asking Dolly to pretend to be her mother.
"Why me," Dolly's character asked.
"Because you remind me so much of my mother," Kathryn replied.
According to Petersen, the movie will have "a lot of sass and class" and will "serve this fantasy of representing the frustrated and powerless generation through Kathryn’s character."
A Very Good Girl also stars Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Donna Cariaga, Gillian Vicencio, Ana Abad Santos, Kaori Oinuma, Althea Ruedas, Nathania Guerrero, and Nour Hooshmand.
The film is written by Marionne Dominique Mancol, with Carmi Raymundo as the creative manager and Daniel Saniana as the creative supervisor.
It will be released exclusively in theaters on September 27.
Kathryn was recently named one of the recipients of the Outstanding Asian Star prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023, which will be held on September 21 in Seoul, South Korea.
Meanwhile, Dolly is a Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee. In June 2023, she was invited to become a member of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
