Are you a big fan of Black Mirror?

Netflix announced that the dark, satirical anthology series' seventh season will premiere on the streaming site next year.

In 2025, the Emmy-winning series will release six new episodes for its upcoming installment. One of them will be a follow-up to the sci-fi adventure "USS Callister" from Season 4, which featured Jesse Plemons, a reclusive programmer who helped create a well-known multiplayer online game but is resentful of his colleagues for not valuing his contributions.

The frustrated Robert Daly, played by Plemons, simulates a Star Trek–like space adventure within the game using his co-workers’ DNA to create sentient digital clones of them and leading them as the captain of the USS Callister starship. But newly hired Nanette Cole, played by Cristin Milioti, ends up encouraging the other crew members to revolt against their captain.

The previous season of Black Mirror debuted in June 2023 after a four-year hiatus. Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, Annie Murphy, Josh Hartnett, and Paapa Essiedu appeared in its episodes.

The dystopian themes of this multi-genre series are well-known for mirroring both the present and a potential future. It covers a wide range of subjects, such as politics, AI, societal challenges, ethical dilemmas, and more.
