Over 250 'Black Panther' comics are now free on ComiXology

If you like free comics then it can't get any better than this. Cloud-based digital comics service ComiXology just made 256 digital issues of Black Panther available for free.

The news came mostly from word of mouth from site users and several comic book creators over social media. ComiXology itself did not share any news whatsoever on their social media accounts about having hundreds of issues of Black Panther now free to anyone with a site or Amazon account.

Canadian comic book writer Jim "Zub" Zubkavich broke the news to his Twitter followers earlier in the day, noting that his eight-issue run of Black Panther and the Agents of Wakand are included in the surprise giveaway.

The unnannounced move to make hundreds of these comics free to everyone follows the death of actor Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular role in the Marvel Studios film, Black Panther.

Whether it was a coincidence or not, this is a fitting tribute to Boseman's legacy portraying the much-beloved Marvel comic book character.
