Mystery Manila's 'Date in the Dark' offers an interactive experience in total darkness
Looking for a date night with a twist? Mystery Manila is turning the lights off—literally—with its new “Date in the Dark” experience in Mandaluyong.
The immersive pop-up invites couples, besties, and other duos to spend 60 to 75 minutes in pitch-black darkness, taking part in activities designed to engage the senses beyond sight. An on-site facilitator will guide participants throughout the experience, so you won’t have to worry about fumbling your way through the dark.
Without being able to see each other, participants will have to rely on their other senses, including touch, sound, and taste, as they move through different sensory environments. The exact activities remain under wraps, keeping the experience a mystery until you step inside.
But despite the name, you don't have to bring a romantic partner. The experience is also open to friends and other groups, making it an option for a Halloween hangout or a different kind of night out. Each session can accommodate two to eight players.
“Date in the Dark” will run at NBS Park in Mandaluyong City from Oct. 29 to 31 and Nov. 5 to 22, Thursday to Sunday.
Sessions run hourly from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with tickets priced at P1,800 per couple. Bookings are available through Mystery Manila’s official website.
If this something up your alley, secure your slot here before they run out.
