Red Velvet has finally returned—after 18 months—to reclaim their throne with ‘Queendom’
Red Velvet has finally returned after 18 months to save K-pop!
“Queendom” is Red Velvet’s sixth mini-album, their first group release after an 18-month hiatus. The album and music video of the same name were released today, Aug. 16.
“We are the Queens in the red castle. We don’t need a crown, we were born to dazzle,” Irene rapped, as she struck a queenly pose at the center of the group.
Queendom is a refreshing and empowering pop track that shows off the girl group’s vocal abilities and ability to blend into various concepts. It’s also a special comeback for Reveluvs since this is their first group release after almost two years.
Aside from Queendom, the sixth mini-album contains the following tracks: Pose, Knock on Wood, Better Be, Pushin N’ Pullin’, and Hello Sunset.
Red Velvet is composed of five members, namely, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. The girl group debuted in August 2014 with the track Happiness.
