A new trio of spies might utter "Good morning, Charlie" again soon.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the hit 1970s TV show-turned-movie franchise, Charlie's Angels, is being revived at Sony.

Pete Chiarelli, who helmed hit films Crazy Rich Asians, Now You See Me 2, and The Proposal, was tapped to write the new film.

The producer of the new version has not been confirmed, but a source said Drew Barrymore and her Flower Films, which produced the early 2000s films, will be back for the new film. Sony had no comment, per the outlet.

Premiered in 1976, Charlie’s Angels is a crime drama about three women working for the Townsend private detective agency. The original series starred Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith, with Cheryl Ladd joining in the second season. John Forsythe voiced the unseen boss, Charlie Townsend.

The franchise expanded to film in 2000 with Charlie's Angels, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu, directed by McG. The film was a box-office hit and led to the 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

A TV reboot aired in 2011 but was canceled early. Another film reboot followed in 2019, directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.
