'Mobile Legends' stars Ohmyv33nus, Wise to make MPL comeback under team Aurora

Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario are set to return to the MPL Philippines under a new team, Aurora Gamingwhich will be making its debut on the professional scene this season 14. 

This time it’s official. The royal duo joins our company. Let us all welcome, Ohmyv33nus and Wise Gaming to Aurora Gaming!,” the esports company wrote in their Facebook post, welcoming the duo.

This will be the tandem’s comeback to the professional league after taking a hiatus in the past two seasons.

Aurora also shared that they will be announcing their official roster for the upcoming season on Saturday, July 27, at 6 p.m. at PARQAL, Paranaque City. 

"With mobile esports’ brightest stars, the royal duo Ohmyv33nus and Wise Gaming joining our Aurora Gaming Company, there are a plethora of reasons to be excited about the future," they wrote in their separate post.

“We believe in the immense potential of MLBB as an esports discipline and we eagerly look forward to our roster showcasing their talents as part of Aurora’s hearth and home,” they added. 

Aurora Gaming joined the esports community in August 2022 and is headquartered in Serbia and Malaysia. They have teams competing in games such as CS2 (Counter-Strike 2), Apex Legends, CS2 Academy, and Warcraft. In 2023, they officially launched their DOTA 2 team. Their latest addition is the MLBB (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) team based in Metro Manila.

Earlier this month, Ohmyv33nus and Wise announced their departure from longtime esports organization Blacklist International. 

“I’m at this point in life right now na I know already there’s something more than this, a higher version of me deep within me," Ohmyv33nus wrote. "More than I’ve ever accomplished." 

"So I left Tier One Entertainment and Blacklist International because I know I would settle if I choose to stay. When it’s time to go, ma feel mo naman eh," she added. 

Her boyfriend, Wise, also shared a copy of his resignation on Facebook that read: "Dear Sir/Madam, bounce an ako mga ssob @Blacklist International. Matsala sa all. Respectfully yours, Wise."

During their stay, they helped the team win three Mobile Legends Professional League titles, an M3 championship, and a Southeast Asian Games gold medal.

MPL Philippines season 14 will begin in August.
