Books worth P20, credit card deals, and other things to expect at Big Bad Wolf 2023
Big Bad Wolf, the popular book sale, is staging a comeback after a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year's edition has the theme "Bad Does Good," and will be held from June 24 to July 3 at the PICC Forum Tent in Pasay City.
Here's what bookworms can look forward to at the upcoming event.
'Unbelievable' books worth as low as P20
Organizers said there will be "unbelievable" books that will be released daily, with prices as low as P20.
Visitors must scan a QR code made available ahead of the event and register for free. They will then gain access to exclusive offers and deals when they checkout through the user-friendly web app.
Organizers previously said there will be up to 95% discount in titles.
Over two million books
Big Bad Wolf said over two million books will be sold during the event, with the sale aiming to encourage people of all ages to discover the joys of reading, inspire them to pursue their dreams, and, importantly, empower them with the knowledge to realize them.
Available genres include science fiction, thriller, literature, young adult, business, cookbooks, art and design, and children’s books, among many others.
15-hour sale daily
In light of the pandemic, the previous 24-hour book sale will now be held for 15 hours, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily. Admission remains free.
Credit card deals
Big Bad Wolf also teamed up with Metrobank, giving credit and debit card users certain privileges when purchasing books.
Credit card users may avail of zero installment for three months for a minimum spend of P3,000, as well as score up to 10% cashback for a minimum spend of P5,000.
Cardholders in general will also enjoy dedicated lanes during the sale, while qualified World, Platinum Mastercard, and Travel PlatinumVisa holders will have exclusive access to a special lounge.
