Prince William, Kate Middleton are 'going through hell,' says close friend
Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton's close friend expressed her concern for the royal couple as she said they are "going through hell" at present.
In an interview published on The Telegraph on Thursday, May 2, William and Kate's designer friend Amaia Arrieta said she's "heartbroken at the moment" as she talked about the pair.
"I think they are going through hell—I hope they will be back," she said, without going into much detail. "It's really personal."
Amaia has been William and Kate's go-to designer for their children for years now. According to the media outlet, Prince George, 10, was spotted rocking her brand's corduroy shorts in a Christmas photo released in 2014. Just recently, Princess Charlotte, 9, was seen in a checked skirt from the same line in Kate's controversial Mother's Day snap.
The designer said that dressing the royals "gives [her] so much pride."
"They have put the traditional and classic way of dressing children on the map," she added.
Kate is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy. She revealed she's battling cancer in March.
She underwent abdominal surgery last January and has been on a break from public duties to continue her recovery. She hasn’t appeared in a public event since December. Kensington Palace said she would return to official duties "when she is cleared to do so by her medical team."
William and Kate have been married since 2011. They have three children together.
The two met at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 2001.
