You can now put music on your Facebook profile à la MySpace. Here's how to do it
Need a major throwback? Facebook now allows users from the Philippines to have music displayed on their profiles.
Despite being a new feature for us, adding songs to profiles actually dropped over three years ago along with Facebook's Watch Party and Lip Sync Live features.
"Moments are remembered and accentuated with music, and we can’t wait to see all the ways people around the world get creative with these features, make memories, and have fun with friends and family," the social media giant said in 2018.
If you're curious how to do it, continue reading below.
1. On your profile, click on the Music option between Life Events and Did You Know.
2. Once clicked, pressing the '+' toggle on the upper right will display a number of song choices. You can also search for a specific track on the Search music bar.
3. You can either save a song for future use or add it to your account. It will then be displayed in the Music section of your profile.
4. To really show off your recommended tracks though, you can also pin the song on your profile. Once chosen, the song will be displayed just below your name and other public information.
Unlike MySpace or Tumblr, the song won't automatically play once you've landed on someone's page. Your friends have to click on the play button to hear a clip of the song along with an accompanying video.
You can also delete the song from your profile at any time, as it won't send notifications for the changes.
