Excited to see more of the adventures of Attorney Woo? The show's producers said that it is slated to start production next year.

According to Korean entertainment outlet Soompi, JBTC News reported that Extraodrinary Attorney Woo’s writer Moon Ji Won had officially signed a contract with its production company, ASTORY for the second season of the series.

ASTORY, for its part, confirmed the news but shared that the production won’t start yet due to the writer’s prior commitment as she is working on her directorial debut for the film Deaf Boys.

“Because Moon Ji Won is currently busy with the preparations for her film, she will not be able to write the script right away,” said the company.

They added, "We think she will be able to start preparing the script in earnest after she wraps up her film at the beginning of next year."

Because the preparation is currently at the “internal development” stage, the production company says the production schedule, including the casting of the lead star, hasn’t been decided yet.

“Because we are currently at the stage of internal development, nothing has yet been decided,” they said.

Aside from its heartwarming plot, the show was loved by its fans worldwide for the casting of Park Eun Bin (Attorney Woo Young-woo) and Kang Tae Oh (Lee Jun-oh) as its lead actors. However, ASTORY said that the cast of the show's second chapter have yet to be finalized.

“The casting of the lead actors, including Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, has also not been decided yet,” the  company added. The latter is currently enlisted in mandatory military service last year and is expected to be discharged in 2024.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo won big in the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards, where Park Eun Bin won the Daesang (Grand Prize) Award for drama while director Yoo In-shik won the Best Director award.
