Woo to the Young to the Woo-hoo!
Netflix’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo will be getting another season, as per the producer.
In an interview with Dispatch, Lee Sang-baek, the CEO of ASTORY and the producer of the series, confirmed that the K-drama will be renewed for a second season.
"Thanks to the support of many viewers, 'Attorney Woo' will return with season 2. We hope to air the second season some time in 2024," he said.
Lee added that while it may be a challenge to coordinate the schedules of the team, he has no intentions of changing the cast and entire production team.
“However, the process of adjusting the schedules of all of the cast members and crew will pose as a significant challenge. Nonetheless, we plan to proceed with season 2 without any cast member changes, or any changes to the production staff," he said.
Channel ENA’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo, starring Park Eunbin, has indeed touched the hearts of many by shedding light to autism spectrum. The ratings of the sensational series started with 0.9% (Based on ‘Nielsen Korea’) and skyrocketed to 15.8%.
The series enters Netflix’s Non-English Global Top 10 most-watched TV and films garnering 69,360,000 hours watched by viewers from August 8-14 placing 1st on the list.
Meanwhile, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is also confirmed to be adapted into musical by EMK Musical Company. Three episodes from the 16-part series will be selected to take part in the musical and is scheduled to debut on 2024.
