Dating reality show 'Single's Inferno' is getting a 4th season
Popular South Korean dating show Single's Inferno is returning for a fourth season.
Netflix confirmed the renewal, adding that the reality show is the first Netflix Korea unscripted series to get a fourth iteration.
The reality series' latest season premiered in December 2023 and introduced new rules and twists like having two islands for contestants.
From the series, four couples formed including former PBA player Lee Gwan Hee and Choi Hye Seon, who eventually broke up afterward.
Single's Inferno first premiered on Netflix in 2011, gaining popularity in South Korea and other countries. All three seasons of the show became the first Korean reality series to make the Netflix Global Top 10 TV series.
With cast members catapulted to fame, the producers say casting for the show is somewhat like drafting national athletes.
"We will continue to do our best and make sure Season 4 is even more entertaining for you by paying closer attention to the fans' feedback on Season 3, both positive and negative," said producer Kim Jae-won
Single's Inferno puts its Korean singles on an island called "Inferno" to mingle and play games without giving away factors in dating like their age and career. Their goal is to find a match so they can be flown to "Paradise" for an intimate date.
