‘Midnight Mass,’ ‘No One Gets Out Alive’ and other spooky shows to kick off October

The spooky season is here. With Halloween just around the corner, horror movies, psychological thrillers, and suspense films will probably be dominating streaming sites the whole month.

Midnight Mass, a new limited series from Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting on Hill House centers on an isolated island community that experiences supernatural events after the arrival of a mysterious priest.

Also topping the movie list locally this week is haunted house thriller No One Gets Out Alive, an adaptation of Adam Nevill’s 2014 horror novel.

Here's a roundup of the newest series and films currently on Netflix for your weekend watchlist.

Midnight Mass
