Save the date, ARMYs (if you haven't yet)!

Hybe IP, the intellectual property arm of K-pop powerhouse Hybe, recently announced that Manila will host the much-awaited "BTS Pop-up: Map of the Soul" from May 29 to Aug. 29.

Taipei will also showcase the same pop-up on Sept. 12 to Oct. 17, while Bangkok is currently holding the pop-up until July 25.

Meanwhile in Singapore, the BTS Pop-up: Space of BTS will be held starting May 28 until Aug. 15.

Recently, BTS fans were ecstatic after SM Malls posted a teaser on its Facebook page, “Hi ARMY! Something Dynamite is opening soon in SM Megamall.”

According to the Hybe announcement, there is a possibility that the said operating schedule may change due to COVID-19 related guidelines, like what happened to the Petaling Jaya, Malaysia showcase, which has been postponed indefinitely.

The "BTS Pop-up: Map of the Soul" showcase had a successful run last year in Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo. The showcase also coincided with an online run that was made available in the US, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The said pop-up featured products that are themed with the supergroup’s hit album “Map of the Soul: 7” that was released early last year.

According to Bandwagon, the offline pop-up showcase in Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo featured areas themed around the group’s songs Black Swan, On and Dynamite, and BTS’ adorable Tiny Tan characters.

Items that were made available at the pop-ups last year include clothes, stationery and everyday items like rugs, tumblers, slippers and even lollipops.

The Korea Herald reported that the offline pop-up stores in 13 cities since December last year have attracted around 240,000 customers.

Will the Philippine leg of the pop-up carry merch from the group’s recent record-breaking hit Butter? Hopefully we’ll find out soon!

As we wait for more information about the Manila leg of the "BTS Pop-up: Map of the Soul," watch the Bangtan Boys taking time to shop at the Seoul showcase last December.
