Is Olivia Rodrigo dating financier Julian Croonenberghs?
Olivia Rodrigo appeared to have just hard-launched her new romance.
On July 26, the singer went on a PDA-filled date at a Brooklyn park with private equity associate Julian Croonenberghs, as reported by E! News.
The photos obtained by the media outlet showed Rodrigo, 23, and Croonenberghs, 26, walking through the New York borough hand-in-hand then relaxing on a grassy spot beside some trees.
Although neither has publicly confirmed their relationship, entertainment news sites had reported spotting the couple going on several dates in New York City in June. Per E! News, they were also supposedly seen together at an airport in Iceland a few days before their Brooklyn romp.
Rodrigo is coming relatively fresh from heartbreak, having broken up with actor Louis Partridge in 2025. The couple had been together since 2023. She dealt with the break-up by coming up with a third album, You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love, which she released on June 12. Although Rodrigo confirmed she wrote the songs in the album while dating Partridge, she did not say the album was inspired by Partridge specifically.
Croonenberghs, according to his LinkedIn profile, is a private equity associate at equity firm Hg Capital. He also previously worked at Goldman Sachs as an investment banking specialist and graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University.
In October 2024, the Filipino-American singer held her GUTS concert at the Philippine Arena. She saw it as a homecoming trip.
"That trip was so special. Just from a creative career standpoint I suppose, it was really cool to get to play for this city. And we got to donate all of my proceeds to this organization called [Jhpiego], which provides healthcare for women and girls in the Philippines, which was really, really special for me," she said.
Through Rodrigo's "fund 4 Good" global initiative, the singer has donated over $2 million (about P123.4 million) to 10 global nonprofits, all of which advocate for women's and girls' health and equity.
She was apprehensive at first, coming to the Philippines not knowing much Filipino, telling Elle Magazine in 2025 that she was hoping for acceptance.
"I had just never been to the Philippines and I wasn’t born there. I don’t speak Tagalog very well. I kind of had a chip on my shoulder like, 'Oh gosh, I hope that they accept me and they see me as a Filipino and I’m a source of pride for them,'" she said.
Following her concert, however, Rodrigo said in 2025 she was already planning her next trip to the country.
