Kim Atienza is now a certified mental wellness facilitator

Kim Atienza has worn many hats over the years—and now, he’s adding another one to the list: certified mental wellness facilitator.

Through his Instagram stories, the television presenter shared the good news that he has completed an eight-hour training program for providing first aid on mental health issues on April 24. The workshop was led by Eric Dimar, lead psychologist of the DMR Psychological Services.

According to his certificate, Kim is now "trained and capable of providing mental health support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis."

This comes after Kim made headlines back in March where a social media user who appeared to be calling out for help on Threads due to a mental health problem. Kim then replied to the post and inviting them to his show TiktoClock.

After meeting at the show, the host subsequently offered to help the user consult with a psychiatrist, per a report by GMA News.

Consequently, Kim shared in an interview with Ice Seguerra and Liza Diño that he has been taking classes in counseling due to how many people have started reaching out to him for mental heald advice as a result of what happened to his deceased daughter Emman.

"I think doon ako dinadala ni Lord din eh, naging parang magnet ako sa mga taong nangangailangan ng advice sa mental health," he said.

Kim went on to highlight that he was inspired by his daughter to commit to learning more about mental health and finding ways to help others.

"When Emman died, I met so many kids who approached me, who went to the wake or DMed me, telling me that Emman was giving them advice and counsel. Emman was hurting but she was reaching out. Sabi ko 'Lord, Iba 'tong anak ko'," he said.

"But I also realized the problem, it's an epidemic eh. I'm actually going to take some classes in counseling because so many people approach me now because dun sa nangyari kay Emman, people I don't know who are also suicidal, who also have mental health problems," he continued.

Emman passed away in her home in Los Angeles, California, in October 2025. She was known for creating content online and for openly sharing her personal journey with anxiety and online hate to raise mental health awareness.
