Kim Atienza gets inked with butterfly with a music note in honor of late daughter Emman
Kim Atienza shared that he recently got inked, and it's one in honor of his late daughter, Emman Atienza, who passed away at 19.
The TV host took to social media to share his new tattoo on his arm. He got a music note—a G clef—with a butterfly on it. Next to the new ink are his previous tattoos of his wife Felicia Hung and their children's names.
In the caption, Atienza used a quote from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. "Those who were dancing were thought insane by those who could not here the music," it read.
"Be a little kind," he added.
Emman has the same tattoo behind her ear, which she talked about in an interview with Toni Gonzaga in November 2024.
"It's inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche," the late internet personality said, mentioning the quote.
"This tattoo is just a reminder that I have the freedom to dance to the music, regardless of whether people can hear it too. And I think it works in that way as well. Maybe some people can hear the music, maybe some people can't, and it doesn't matter because I'm happy I'm listening to the music."
On TikTok, Kuya Kim shared that he got a signet ring with the music note and butterfly engraved.
The same symbol is also seen on Emman's urn.
Emman passed away in her home in Los Angeles, California on Oct. 22. She was known for her quirky, vibrant videos. She also openly shared her personal journey with anxiety and online hate to raise mental health awareness.
