Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan pondered on memories from her teenage years living in Palisades in Los Angeles, expressing empathy for those currently impacted by the devastating wildfires in Southern California.
"The Palisades was my home for all my teenage years. We lived at the top of the hill on Charmel Lane," the former actress wrote on Instagram.
She recalled that the two-mile hike to and from her school was "surreal and breathtaking," giving her "lovely views of the ocean and the most beautiful homes."
"So many unforgettable memories of home-cooked meals, lots of conversations around the dining table, doing life together with my foster family- The Edwards while always surrounded by love, classical music in the background. I keep these memories close to my heart especially during these times," she said.
Maricel, a member of the 1987 Cross Country Team, talked about the story behind the photo.
"Posting this photo of our Cross Country Team for some of our team members who may be refreshed to have a remembrance of those good ‘ol days," she said.
