The city of Los Angeles in California is facing a tragedy after a deadly wildfire broke out and destroyed a large number of homes.
According to reports, about 30,000 residents were under evacuation orders and more than 13,000 structures were under threat after a fire broke out in the Pacific Palisades before spreading west toward the Malibu stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway.
The blaze worsened to the point that it even reached the homes of many A-list actors and other prominent personalities in Hollywood. Below are the celebrities whose homes were unfortunately devastated by the fires.

The fire destroyed celebrity couple Adam Brody and Leighton Meester's house in the Pacific Palisades. The pair, who have been married for 10 years, share the home with their two children.
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton was "heartbroken beyond words" after she learned through the news that her home in Malibu also fell victim to the fires.
"Seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where [my son] Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with [my daughter] London," Hilton wrote on Instagram.
"While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets," she continued.
The socialite assured that she and her team are already reaching out to non-profit organizations to figure out how they can best support the communities impacted by these fires.
"We’re committed to offering help as soon as possible and making a meaningful difference for those who need it most," she stressed.
Billy Crystal
Actor and comedian Billy Crystal revealed the home he shares with his family, including his wife of nearly 55 years, had also burned to the ground.
"Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy," he said in a statement to PEOPLE.
"Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can't be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this," he added.
Kate Beckinsale
Underworld star Kate Beckinsale grieved for the loss of her community, saying that the whole of the Palisades being destroyed is "unthinkably horrific."
"My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone. Her primary school, every shop or restaurant we used to go to with my parents and [my former partner] Michael’s parents—and devastatingly, most of her friends' homes. My heart is broken," she lamented on Instagram.
"I’m weeping for all of the people and pets involved, so many of them I know. My heart is breaking for the families who have lost everything, and the people and their animals, not to mention the horses and all the wild animals, people’s businesses and livelihoods. This is just like hell," she added.
Beckinsale said that she is willing to lend a helping hand to anyone from the village who needs shelter.
Eugene Levy
Actor and comedian Eugene Levy, who was named honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, nearly had his life put at risk after he found himself "stuck" by "black and intense" smoke over Temescal Canyon as he tried to escape from his home.
"I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark," he told the L.A. Times.
Page Six obtained a photo of Levy's destroyed property, which only had wooden posts left standing.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
Celebrity couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag also had their house reduced to rubble and ash due to the fast-spreading inferno.
On his TikTok account, the former Hills star posted a video of the fire consuming the neighborhood with the caption, "Nightmare came true."
In a follow-up video posted by Montag, she confirmed that they had indeed lost their home. She assured her followers that they were safe before expressing her gratitude for their well-wishes towards them.
Pratt later shared a photo from what remained of his home, which he regarded as a silver lining in the whole incident.
"The one positive sign I saw as our house burned down was our son's bed burned in the shape of a heart. A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family," he wrote.
Jamie Lee Curtis
While Jamie Lee Curtis' home is safe, she said her neighborhood is gone.
"Our beloved neighborhood is gone. Our home is safe. So many others have lost everything. Help where you can," she wrote on Instagram. In another post, she shared an image of a church in Palisades where she "got sober" 25 years ago.
During a guesting at Tonight with Jimmy Fallon, the Freaky Friday star said that she was on her way to New York when she started receiving texts about the fire.
“It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California," she continued. "Obviously there have been horrific fires in many places [but] this is literally where I live.” She urged others to “do anything you can" to help the community.
According to a report by Page Six, other celebrities who have lost their homes include Anna Faris, Miles Teller, Anthony Hopkins, and John Goodman.
Reports state that the fires have now claimed the lives of five people.
