Andi Eigenmann addresses split speculations with Philmar Alipayo
Andi Eigenmann took to Instagram to address rumors that she and her fiance, champion surfer Philmar Alipayo have called it quits.
The former actress posted some IG stories on Friday, May 3 to share her reaction to the split speculations circulating on social media. "I literally j(ust) went on a vacation with my brother and our kids, and come home to find out, through the internet, that I've just been separated," she wrote with a laughing emoji.
In a separate entry, she said that some social media users "didn't seem to like that [she] was grieving the loss of [her] nanay" as they claimed she "has been faking [her] sadness about it all along."
"Due to this, the internet has decided that the reason for my sadness is not that I have recently been an orphan but in fact, a divorcee (even if I had never been married)," she said.
"Helpppppp," she continued, adding laughing emojis.
Andi recently returned to the Philippines from a Japan trip with her children and her brother Gabby.
She and her family are grieving the loss of her mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, who passed away in March due to myocardial infarction or heart attack.
Andi announced her romance with Philmar in 2018. They got engaged two years later.
In late April, she revealed that they were supposed to tie the knot this year but they decided to postpone it following Jaclyn's death.
