Andi Eigenmann, Philmar Alipayo settle differences after taking relationship troubles to social media
Philmar Alipayo said all is well now between him and Andi Eigenmann after taking their relationship troubles to social media.
On Monday, Feb. 10, the champion surfer shared a Facebook Reel of him spending quality time with Eigenmann and their two children, Lilo and Koa.
The video shows Eigenmann beaming at the camera with Lilo before standing up. Alipayo then enters the frame and then changes the camera angle to show Eigenmann carrying Koa.
“It all went [too] far and should have been handled in private,” Alipayo wrote in the caption. "Ok na kami sanan ok ra kami."
Eigenmann and Alipayo didn't provide details on how they fixed things.
Eigenmann and Alipayo made the headlines over the weekend when social media users speculated about their breakup after noticing that they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The split rumors intensified when Eigenmann posted several cryptic Instagram stories, including the Year of the Snake being supposedly the "year of the wolf in sheep's clothing," trusting the process, and backstabbing.
She also lamented how she and Alipayo argued when he got a matching tattoo with a "female friend," whom she didn't name.
"[N]o normal person with good intentions would think it's okay for a 'friend' to encourage someone else's husband to do this without considering the partner's feelings," she noted.
Eigenmann, however, said that when she and Alipayo are fighting, she would "always want to choose and be okay" with him.
As social media became filled with noise, Eigenmann clarified that Alipayo didn't cheat on her.
Alipayo, for his part, seemingly confirmed that their relationship was on the rocks at the time. He noted that he won't deny anything as the rumors are all true.
"Kilala niyo naman ako kung ano pagkatao ko, so siguro kilala niyo na kung ano siya. Hindi na kailangang pahabain pa," he said in another post. "You all can call me a cheater and ugly now. Pero salamat sa mga taong hindi na nagmessage sa akin dahil kilala ako."
Alipayo's friend came forward after her name was dragged into the issue, reminding the public to "[n]ever judge someone without knowing the whole story."
Eigenmann and Alipayo first went public with their relationship in 2018. They got engaged two years later and share two kids.
In April 2024, they said their wedding would be postponed following the death of Eigenmann's mother Jaclyn Jose in March of that year.
