Friend of Andi Eigenmann's husband Philmar Alipayo breaks silence: 'Never judge someone without knowing the whole story'
The woman dragged into the relationship issue between Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo broke her silence, telling the public to "never judge someone without knowing the whole story."
Pernilla Sjoö, in an Instagram carousel she also posted on Facebook as a screenshot series on Feb. 8, said she doesn't understand "why some people have so much hate in their minds and bodies."
"I hope that if you ever make a hurtful comment, you can still sleep peacefully at night and smile knowing you've caused someone pain," Sjoö, whom Eigenmann had noted as Alipayo's friend, said without mentioning anyone. "I'm still human din naman. I still feel hurt, and when it's too much it cuts deep."
She expressed hope that a commenter never becomes the "reason someone cries themselves to sleep or questions their worth—asking why they weren't good enough."
"We're all going through something. Can we at least try to be kinder to one another? Naman. I mean no harm to others. If you will be kind to me, and I assure you that I'll be kinder to you," she said.
Sjöo reminded the public to "[n]ever judge someone without knowing the whole story."
"You may think you understand, but you don't," she added.
In another Facebook post on Feb. 8, Sjoö said, "Learning my lessons. Mabuhay Phillippines." She didn't specify the issue nor mention anyone.
In the early hours of Jan. 9, she also posted a text image that read, "You always jump into conclusions before knowing the reason behind things."
Alipayo's brother Ben also took to Facebook to call out bashers. "Hindi mo nga alam ang totoo... Wag mo siraan 'yung isa dahil hindi mo alam kung gaano kabuting tao 'yung sinisraan mo,' he said in his native language.
In the comments section of Ben's post, Alipayo, also in his native language, told those criticizing him to look inward at themselves and their family rather than make comments about other people.
"Hindi ko alam kung ano ang problema mo sa akin at bakit mo ako tinatawag na abusado, pero siguro selos lang talaga 'yan sa totoo lang!" he said, according to a translation by another commenter.
"Ayos lang naman ito sa akin at ayoko rin ng kaaway. Bahala na kayo kung paano niyo ako gustong isipin—matatanda na rin naman kayo."

Eigenmann and Alipayo made the headlines over the weekend when netizens speculated about their breakup after noticing that they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The breakup rumors intensified when Eigenmann posted several cryptic Instagram stories, including the Year of the Snake being supposedly the year of the wolf in sheep's clothing, trusting the process, and backstabbing.
She also lamented how she and Alipayo argued when he got a matching tattoo with a "female friend." (Eigenmann didn't name Sjoö publicly.)
"[N]o normal person with good intentions would think it's okay for a 'friend' to encourage someone else's husband to do this without considering the partner's feelings," she said.
Eigenmann had also told the woman that when she and Alipayo are fighting, she would "always want to choose and be okay" with him.
As social media became filled with noise, Eigenmann clarified that Alipayo didn't cheat on her.
Alipayo, for his part, seemingly confirmed that their relationship was on the rocks. He noted that he won't deny anything as they're all true.
"Kilala niyo naman ako kung ano pagkatao ko, so siguro kilala niyo na kung ano siya. Hindi na kailangang pahabain pa," he said in another post. "You all can call me a cheater and ugly now. Pero salamat sa mga taong hindi na nagmessage sa akin dahil kilala ako."
Eigenmann and Alipayo first went public with their relationship in 2018. They got engaged two years later and share two kids.
In April 2024, they said their wedding would be postponed following the death of Eigenmann's mother Jaclyn Jose in March of that year.
